We hold a number of  significant events each year - previous year's activities can be reviewed in the After Action Reports page:

  • Dark Ages Party - an evening of dinner, drinks, games, camraderie and fun
  • Memorial Day - an observation of Memorial Day at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, in conjunction with the USMA and USAFA Alumni chapters
  • Summer Picnic - a family-oriented get-together and cook-out
(We also hold the election for new board members at the picnic)
  • Founder's Day - an evening event with dinner and a speaker to commemorate the founding (October 10, 1845) of the Naval Academy
  • ARMY-NAVY Game - Go Navy! Beat Army!

We also hold an number of smaller, informal get-togethers from time to time. View the Home page
for the upcoming and recent events.

Blue and Gold Officers

In support of our Chapter aims, we support the USNA Blue and Gold Officer (BGO) program. There about 40 BGOs in the areas surrounding the St. Louis metro, each of which is responsible for a high school or group of schools and about half of these BGOs are USNA alumni. Our Chapter is extremely fortunate to have as a member, the BGO Coordinator for Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois, Mike Carnes ('74).

Students that are interested in a future at the United States Naval Academy may direct their questions directly to him:

    Michael A. Carnes
    Commander, US Navy (Ret)
    Naval Academy Information Officer
Area Coordinator - Eastern Missouri/Southern Illinois (USNA Class of 1974)
    Cell: (618) 558-USNA (558-8762)

Charitable Donations

The Board reviews the needs of veteran support organizations throughout the Greater St. Louis Area and when possible will allocate funds or direct resources towards meeting the needs of a worthy organization. These contributions must be approved by the Board before they are distributed.
